Who is the dominant power on the island Ralph, or Jack? Why?

The struggle for power between Ralph and Jack goes back and forth throughout the book, but i do think that in the end Jack wins the struggle. In the begining Jack tries to take power by forcing saying that he should be leader, however Ralph is voted in fairly and democratically. Here Ralph is the dominant power of the two boys.

We think that Jack is the dominant power on the island. This is because any decisions that Ralph makes on the island are always over shaddowed by Jack. Ralph has no influence over Jack's decisions, as no matter how hard he tries he will not be listened too. This means that Jack is the dominant power.
